Hey everyone,
My father has a 2005 Toyota Highlander with 210,000 miles on it. When the A/C is turned on, it blows cold, but you can hear a loud rattling noise that is clearly coming from the A/C compressor. I’ve never come across this issue before, but I’m assuming that it’s just the bearings in the pulley. Should I just replace the pulley? If so, can I do so without removing the compressor from the car? Is it better to just replace the whole compressor? Or, should I leave it alone since the air blows cold?
Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks,
Matt
