The ride’s been a bit rough and clunky lately so I did a visual inspection of the front suspension. The right side (front) lower control arm bushing is pooched out a bit and I think the control arm might need to be replaced. The left side looks good. I don’t have the necessary tools and I’m too old to attempt the job myself. Any idea what it might (should) cost to have a reputable repair facility do the job for me?

I would estimate 250-300 dollars parts and labor.

Thank you very much “college man” for putting a number on it. I’m pretty paranoid about paying for repairs of anything as a “rip-off” is always a definite possibility. I know I can buy the part online for under $100. But in the same breath, I concede that a repair facility has to make a profit and the price range you gave seems very reasonable. They have to make a profit to stay in business.

Let’s see if anyone else who reads this has any comments. The ETCG forum is the absolute best. (I like the videos too)
