Also look at the method used by Eric on that trans pan gasket he had to fight with with the previous tech using RTV on it. I used a similar method when i tore down a 302 long block -_x000D_

Thank you guys for the help. I had a dumb moment and found the 2 hidden ones inside. I realized I only pulled out 10 and the manual showed 12, lol.

I have an update with the lesabre. After I reinstalled the lower intake manifold and all its additional parts, I did a pretty good inspection prior to starting the engine, making sure everything was back together correctly. After a couple of turns, it sta

Engine might of liquid locked (too much coolant in one or more cylinders) not allowing the piston to turn. If this is the case you may have to go as far as checking the connecting rods on the affected cylinders for being bent. Pull all your spark plugs ou

Ok an update on the lesabre. I pulled the head and it was sure confirmed that the head gasket was the issue all along. I manually turned the engine by hand, and it wasn’t at all seized. What puzzles me is that before, the starter wouldn’t turn the engine

You probably want your cylinder head and cam check to make sure they are not warped before putting new head gasket.

Absolutely, I’ve done that asap with a straight edge to be sure. I’ve inspected the gasket and had pretty good evidence it was damaged. Thanks for your help

I suspect what you had was ‘hydrostatic lock’ meaning the cylinder filled with liquid, when this happens the engine cannot move as liquids are not compressible.

Nice! Thanks for the tip. I’m hoping that that is not the issue, however once this engine is back together, I’ll reply back with the results. Do you have a video on a hydrostatic lock? I’m going to do a bit more research on that. Kind of wished I took tha
