2004 quest sl vibrate when accelerate

206k miles
Tires are not the issue (balance)
Wheel bearings are new
Front end feels solid with no visible joint leaks.
Got the van up on jack stands, grabbed the passenger axle and felt some play – perhaps 2-3mm?
Definitely more play on the passenger side than the driver’s side.
Took it to a tech for eval, they also found “lots of play” in the same axle and we suspect the retainer clip to be at-fault.
Anyone ever had this happen? Could this in fact be a more serious issue?
