Hello,
Just bought a 2004 Mustang GT. First thing to notice is that the gas peddle has a lot of play in it that it is getting stock under the carpet. did a quick research on the interweb and found out that it is a common problem with 99-04 Stangs caused by long throttle body cable. People went for a cheap fix using plastic spacers and two tube clamps or zip ties. I am looking for a more professional fix. Also, is it safe to use the plastic spacer/tube? I am not comfortable doing it.
Plus, can I shorten the cable from the throttle body? I need for a durable fix cause it is my dailyWhat sucks is not having the adjustable throttle cable mechanism in the mustang.
