I have a 2004 Hyundai Accent that wont start. i have a feeling its the battery but want to make sure.
There is a rapid clicking from my starter when i turn the key but it doesn’t attempt to crank. i have read that it could be the battery but don’t have a multimeter to test the battery. is there anything else that can cause this?
(just did some inspecting of squeaking brakes and shaky steering wheel and forgot to turn lights off when doing so)

Sounds like a low battery. The rapid clicking is usually caused by enough voltage and amperage to engage the starter relay, but once the starter attempts to draw it’s current the voltage drops out and the relay lets go. Once the relay lets go voltage comes back and the cycle starts again.
Charge your battery, if you don’t have a charger you can take the battery out and take it to a parts store, most will charge and test it for you for free.
Normally you would load test a battery. Often auto parts stores will do this for free if you bring them the battery. Glad you got your situation sorted. This article contains more information should you ever run into a similar problem in the future.
