thats what im thinking sad thing is it still seems to be about the same mpg but i didnt get the tiny holes cleaned being i didnt even notice them at first so when theres a break in the weather i’ll clean them and hope it helps some what .thanks again every one
Do that but also know that your gas mileage won’t be as good in the winter for a variety of reasons, in fact if you do a quick search using the search function at the top of this page you may see my comments on that, if not I’ll repost them I’m just short on time today sorry.
thanks eric i just finished up today cleaned the holes did a power balance test same drop on all 6 cylinders so who knows im hoping it improves some what over the old 11 or see how much of my taxes i can soak in fixing it instead of paying it off lol its
Great to hear that your EGR cleaning fixed your gas mileage issues. Sounds like you are getting around 20 mpg vs 11 mpg, if I did my math. right. My 05 V6 gets around 21 mpg city driving. Just remember that winter blend gas and short trips will have an affect on your gas mileage. That generation Accord with the V6 is a fine car IMO. well some good news for every one who helped me with info ive finally got some miles put on the car and instead of 85 miles to half a tank showing im 85 to a 1/4 showing so im hoping when i finally get it used how much better it is over the past and it doesnt throw any codes when i punch it to get on the freeway two birds with one stone thanks again every one
im thinking and hoping it is i drove about 5 miles today and its now nearly on the half mark i now with the light on e being thats how i got the car returned after having it towed for the trans going out when i got it back right when i was heading home i seen my not so much friends left me high and dry but noticed it still had 3.8 gallons when i filled up so i know until i drive it lower then my normal half way fill up i hope to be in the 21 range what my daewoo nubira with a 4 was getting i’ll be happier lol thanks again fitone just got done replacing a door jamb switch driver side noticed some how it pushed into the car cheap part and of course i forgot a new pvc while at the dealer yay me thanks again have a good weekend
true im glad its rebuilt and i have a 3 year 50,000 with a installed intercooler for the fluid .i actually think i am getting around 20-21 i hate there guage it shows half but theres really nearly 4 more gallons above it throws me off
That is true about the gauge and it’s due to how the circuit works so there really is nothing you can do about it unfortunately.
man it really throws me off the gauge in my daewoo was pretty close but i have a problem with not being able to let it go past half lol even on trips i gas up at half not sure why i know theres gas i guess i like knowing i have a lot lol
Well I was hoping for better but about 12mpg fueled up at 135 miles and it took 11 gallons I guess time for a shop appointment
