Need help, when cold first start runs ok, in drive it will buck, almost missing but after driving a minute, it will clear up, then run fine. When its sit for 30 minutes the same buck starts. Can’t tell if transmission and/or engine issues. Spark plug replaced bosch, wire replaced, clean map sensor, clean throttle body, clean IAC, replace transmission fluid(handful of filings) on magnet, transmission filter, gas filter replaced. It will once in a while have a hard downshift to 1st when stopping. This is my aunts car. Really no past history. Also gas mileage poor around town 14 mpg. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

First thing I would do if you drove into the shop I work at is remove the Bosch spark plugs. They have to be the worst plugs in the world right now. I have seen countless misfire problems with them.

I agree completely about the spark plugs. i also have another suspicion though. if this car really has 120k on it. Has the trans fluid and filter ever been changed before you did so? If not, changing it could have messed up the transmission even more. but thats a 50/50

id start with those plugs and replace with Motorcraft. they are cheap so you cant go wrong.

try cleaning the throttle plate and any regular mainteneance you havent already done. If nothing works i suspect that transmissions days are numbered
