      2004 F-150 4.6 automatic 4wd 125000 miles
      Just got truck.
      Had no power to Data Link Connector.
      Found blown 20 amp fuse – replaced and now there is power, but code reader says “Operating Error, try again?” which I have several times.
      No Check Engine light is on.
      State Inspection station confirmed that part of circuit is good
      Just starting on this, but if anyone has had similar experience to share, that would be great 😉
      PS. currently runs well.

        Try going to advance or an auto sore and see if there scanner works. Sometimes
        some scanners won’t work. Other wise check fuses for cig lighter.

          Worth a try!
          BTW – the fuse I replaced was the #21 Cig lighter/ DLC combo.
          As much as I like Ford – I think it was lame of them to put those 2 things on the same circuit!
          How many people use the cig lighter for so many accessories that could easily blow the fuse? :S
