Replaced battery and alternator, left shop and returned 100 miles later with up/down idle and stall at stop sometimes. (538-587 RPM)
      1. Had P0506 code but cleared and NOT returned after 2 hours run
      2. Now has P1000 even after 2 hours idle/drive
      3. No cel currently
      4. What scanner information would you look at?
      Thanks

Flakey throttle actuator? Is it drive by wire?

Yes drive by wire, how do you diagnose actuator?

No iac. That one should be ETC style. The p0506 is a low idle code. The truck may need to relearn the idle which is common on fords after a battery replacement. 10 mins ac off idle 2 minutes ac on. How is the condition of the plate? If it’s dirty clean it and retest it. There is a possibility it may need a throttle body aswell. It’s not an uncommon issue for a ford of that era to need a throttle body.

Don’t worry about the p1000. The ecm hasn’t finished all its drive cycle monitor checks yet.

I call it fixed until it proves me wrong.

1.TB was really dirty once removed from truck so cleaned with TB cleaner
                      2. Did relearn because unhooked battery to remove TB
