I recently inherited a Chrysler pt cruiser, and I have been having some issues with it. It is stuck in limp mode. I only know what its called because I have done so much to the car trying to fix it based on videos and online forums.
So far I have replaced spark plugs, plug wires, air intake, camshaft position sensor, and cleaned the throttle body.
I still am having the limp mode and cannot drive the car more then 10 feet without it stuttering and stalling, and as soon as I hit 2500 rpms, even when sitting, it starts to stutter so I know its in limp mode still. I also do not have a check engine light on, so no codes to read.
Any suggestions or a way to fix this would be greatly appreciated, I am running out of option besides taking it to a dealership, and I don’t have the money for that.
