Hi, I have a Chevy Malibu 2004, 120,000 Miles, 4CL, New style. bought the car a few months ago knowing the AC needs Freon. I tried to charge the AC with a can. First the clutch wasn’t engaging. After adding a little, it started engaging. After adding up to 25 PSI, suddenly, POOF; Freon was spraying out from under the car. I read about it, and people claim that there is a pressure valve. I assume it came from there. 1 person mentioned that something might be clogged. Now my question.
Is the pressure valve good or not? (If there is such a thing)
      Could something be clogged?
I was also trying to look for the dryer. Cant seem to find it. Anyone know where it is?

      Thanks for reading.

Yes, there is a pressure relief valve. To diagnose this problem you will need a manifold gauge to read the low and high side pressures, and the cooling fans (radiator and condenser fans) must be running to prevent the high-side pressure from rising over the limit. There may be a problem with the system. You may want to have a shop do a diagnostic on the system.
