I’ve noticed that this engine is a little bit tickey. I’m not really sure what is is though so maybe you guys can hep me narrow it down. I made a video of it which is linked below.

      Much appreciated,
      Joey

I changed the oil last month and in doing so I also sea-foamed the engine and switched to synthetic. The CEL was on for a couple of hours after I sea-foamed the engine but I shut itself off after.

be careful with seafoam, use it as directed in my opinion i would not put lots in the crank case of a engine, it is known too break apart sludge and getting it caught in the pick up tube which can cause a loss of critical oil pressure… which can cause engine noises, a synthetic may have the same vescocity but flows more freely than conventional motor oil so it can increase any noise your engine makes too be honest the sounds your engine is making doesn’t sound that bad what concerns me most is your fuel economy which leads me too believe you may have a bad sensor somewhere.

            i suggest this video.

my suggest is plug a scan tool in see what history codes come up for that CEL of yours it may point you down a good direction

I was going to ask if you had just switched to synthetic. That’s probably why your engine is a little more noisy. I didn’t hear anything life threading. Perhaps a little louder than a normal K series, but nothing to worry about in my opinion. Your next oil change you might switch back to conventional to see if the noise goes away. If it does, don’t use synthetic and you’ll be fine.
