I have just fixed a misfire on my ford escape and I have been trying to track down what the normal PID readings should be when viewing my live data on my OBD scanner. Any help would be appreciated. I have heard they might be in the ford repair Manuals if you could post a link or photo, or send me a copy online somehow it would greatly appreciated. If not could anyone tell me the correct engine load percentage at idle?

It was ok but now I have a P0430 code and I am pretty sure that I have a partial clogged cat on bank 2. I believe this was from a lean condition I inherited from the previous owner. I repaired several vacuum leaks and I thought I was running great but now my rpms are having a tough time reaching 3000 or even 2500. My LT fuel trim is around -3.1 consistently on bank 2 and fluctuating from -3.8 to 0 on bank 1. I am planning on replacing the cat with a used one due to budget and want to make sure I do not burn-up or destroy another cat. Are these fuel trims acceptable and or what other PID data should I look and what ranges should they be in?

The rear cat plugging on an Escape is a known issue. I have seen the EGR valve melt from the back pressure. Your fuel trims look fine.

I have also noticed a hesitation upon accelerating, usually occurring around 40 mph my rpm’s will hesitate then jump from 2000 to 3000 and I feel a power surge. Do you think that is common for an injector issue or transmission? If I accelerate at a lower rate I usually don’t have this issue and I don’t feel any vibrations from trans. Thoughts?

An exhaust restriction could cause that type of performance problem. After you fix the cat it might go away. You can check for an exhaust leak like this.

Thanks! I don’t currently have a vacuum gauge but I will looking into purchasing one. I do have a hand held vacuum pump but I do not believe it can be used in this application.

I am also currently subscribed to ScannerDanner, definitely will see if I can look over some of his videos.
