150000 + miles. At start-up, idling, I am hearing belt and tapping noise. Can a worn timing belt cause improper valve adjustment? I plan on timing belt replacement, and would like to know if timing belt replacement will cure valve tapping?

A worn timing belt should not cause valve tap. With the mileage you
Your valve lash is loose. A vale lash adjustment would need to be done
to quiet things if thats the issue.

I saw your video on YouTube when I was trying to find out how to repair the captive rotors on my 1990 Honda Accord. It was very difficult and I couldn’t have done it without your help (video), Thanks Eric!

Now, back to the Toyota Camry issue. I’m hearing belt noise, and I’m pretty sure it’s coming from the timing belt. With 150k+ miles on the engine, would you recommend I change it? I’ve seen videos on YouTube that say it should be changed @ 90K. Do you have a video that address this make/model and engine? If you do, I’m having problems finding your videos. I’ve tried entering in the “search” field for the specific issue, but for some reason it doesn’t take me to what I’m trying to search. What am I doing wrong here?

FYI, I refer you to all my employees, friends, part store associates and mechanics and tell them you’re the best.

          Thanks again!
          Chuck

Timing belt on your car is a pretty detailed job, but doable if you have the tools and inclined to do it. Details are more extensive than I can post so a service manual or alldata subscription would help you a lot.

You sure you have a Camary? I thought it was a Canary. A nightcrawler might do the deed.
