2003 pontiac sunfire door hinge pins

i was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the door hinge pins on a 2003 sunfire? probably the same would go for a chevy cavalier, but im not sure. they are different from any i have seen before. there is four of them. and they are very short. about an inch long. my problem is i cant figure out how to get them out. the replacement ones come with an e clip which looks like you would just take the clip off and then could tap them out. but the original ones have no such clip. and are mushroomed somewhat at the smaller end. im not sure how to go about it. the only thing i can think of is to slide a hack saw blade in and saw one end off. then i would be able to tap them out. anyone have any advice or ideas?
