      Hello,

I’ve steering vibration at 60-70 mile interval and I think it’s warped rotors.
I’ll be replacing front brake pads soon and was wondering what is the correct way to resurface rotors.
      I’ve seen on-wheel resurfacing and off-wheel one.
I’m afraid because it’s part-time 4×4 automatic and don’t know if it’s safe to do that with on-wheel device.

      Could you please advise?

Most times off the car resurfacing works just fine.

Either on or off method will work. Nissan does recommend
on car brake lathe. When your driving the 65-70 mph is your
foot touching the brakes? If your getting steering wheel shake
without touching the brakes. I would suggest your wheels are out
of balance.Try and rotate your wheels to see if the vibration changes.

I second that.. out of balance tires is probably your vibration broblem.

Without touching the brakes there is no vibration at any speed, even at 180km/h 😉
I do wheel alignment, tire rotation, tire balance every 7500 miles as indicated in owners manual.
Also there is no vibration when touching the brakes at other speeds

If there is no vibration in the steering wheel when brakes
are applied.I don’t think its rotors. sounds like wheels/tires.

I said opposite to what you’re saying.
Vibration is only when brakes are touched.
