My car used to shake very hard when shifting from park to drive, so my mechanic replaced two engine mounts and that seems to have fixed the problem.
Now my car shakes when i turn the key to start, and it sounds like the car is having trouble starting. Sounds like it cranks 3-5 times and finally starts. I can hear a loud, metallic-like noise coming from either under me, or from the back of the car.
I should also mention that recently, the car didnt let me shift from park to any gear after i started it, so i had to turn the car off and then start it again a couple times until it would let me shift to any other gears. Another time, the car wouldnt let me shift from drive to reverse or park. It let me shift up to neutral, and down to 1, 2, and 3, but wouldnt let me go up past neutral to park the car. when it did this, the key wouldnt go all the way to the “lock” position, and i was unable to take the key out. So i stayed in the car for around 10 minutes, turning it off and on again until it finally let me put the car in park take the key out.
This car also had a parasitic draw problem, i found that the problem was coming from a 10A “room lamp” fuse. So i have been driving with the fuse out, because i dont want the battery to die. With the fuse out, two lights light up on the dash, the “open door” light, and the “open trunk” light. With the fuse in, both lights are off.
Really worried about this shaking, and slightly worried about the fact that the car has trouble shifting gears occasionally.
