Hi Guys
I have a 2003 Ford Taurus 3.0liter Dohc 24 valve car has 140k miles
engine that has a couple issues the engine runs smooth. no check engine lights.1If you hit the gas pedal to 2000 rpm then it drops to 1500rpm stays there for about 30 sec or so then drops to 1100-1200 rpm with the climate control on it drops to 900rpm
2 when Driving the car you touch the gas pedal once thats it the car stays around 1500 rpm going up hills travels around 35-40 mph .Hitting the brakes slows the car but the engine rpm remains constant. I put the car in neutral while the engine rpm remains the same.
Any thoughts

Im wonderin for myself also here …wouldnt a good place to start be canceling out and verifying working components on the fuel side of the ecm like pump, regulator, injectors? And then wouldnt that (by orocess of elimination) either show a fault in the fuel system or lead you to the air side of the ecm?
