        Why did you change your fuel lines?

        Did you have this issue before you changed your fuel lines?

        Did you kink or bend your fuel lines when you changed them?

        If lines are bent or kinked they can deliver pressure but not volume…. A fuel pressure test at the rail may tell you if you have a fuel pressure (possibly fuel pump) problem… But first, I would do a visual inspection of all the fuel lines….

        This is a thread of a member here who had an issue with a vehicle staying running…. Was bent lines…

          You need to know your fuel pressure first because you change your fuel line and you might have these 3 problems :
          1 = fuel line leak
          2 = evaporative chamber leak (charcoal canister) usually come with a check engine light
          3 = near broken fuel pump (It’s rare these day, because the fuel pump are all electric).
          So, buy on ebay or download your OFFICIAL brand car manual (2003 Ford FOCUS Service Manual made by ford).

          1: In this manual, It’s will show you how to unscrew all the bolt and fastener on your fuel line near your engine. But most important, you will have the psi require to have a good gas and air mixture for a good start and running. Fuel line leak are easy to find. You can smell It and you can add air on the leak spot to disturb the explosion process in your engine to narrow the leak.

          2: The charcoal canister is use to evaporate the liquid fuel into gas with the exhaust heat. Most of the car with more then 10 years of service have charcoal canister leak from the valves link to this canister. The valves is all made with plastic and the hose clamp these valve rust out and leak begin. The start will be hard because you will have air in the gas.

          3: If you fuel pump begin to fail, you will ear a noise (rrrreeeeeeeeeeee) from your back seat each time your pump put fuel in the charcoal canister. That way, you know you have some trouble.

              check that the lines are not sucking air.(loose fittings)
              check your fuel pressure.
