I have looked at several of your videos and appreciate the time you put in. I have a 2003 Dodge truck and the trailer lights are not working from the truck. I have tested all of the fuses that I know of and have checked the wiring at the trailer plug in, no power. The trailer lamps light up with the truck lights, but not with signals, breaks, ect. I have found that Dodge has run a separate circuit for trailer lights and there are three relays under the fuse block, which is sealed by the manufacturer. I need a wiring diagram, but saw a website where a guy took apart the fuse block, unsoldered and put in new relays. Not sure if this is the problem and would wonder if all three would go out at the same time. About a year ago I took most of the dash apart to put in a new ac door and when done the brake lights on the truck did not work. Replaced the break switch and they worked. Not sure when the trailer circuit quit working. Any advice or direction would be appreciated. To replace the whole fuse block is about 800.00, but the relays can be replaced for under 50.00.
      Thanks
      Dave

Any fuses in the interior of the truck trailer related? Or a fuse called tow?

Do u have the owners manual? I find most times the fuses are listed better in there. And the trailers lights come on with your park lights/running lights?

Unfortunately the manual did not list any other fuses. The lights on the trailer come on with the truck lights, but the signal and brake lights do work on the trailer, although they do on the truck.

OK if part of the lights work it’s not a grounding issue. Did you probe every fuse while they are in place? You should have fuses such as trl lft turn or like. Make sure you have the signal on while testing the fuse

I only have a light tester, but both sides of the fuses were hot

I am not really experienced in reading these, but I do not see where there is a separate circuit on the diagram for the trailer lights. Also attached is a video I watched on Youtube showing how to change out relays for the trailer lights.

                      Thanks

Are the relays clicking? It maybe as to just run new wires right from your lights to the trailer connector. It the connector a 4 flat or 7 round?

I will check to see if I can hear them clicking. I thought about running new wires from the truck side. Thanks for all of the diagrams.

you should feel and be able to hear the relay click when its activated…. if you dont it might not be getting power or might be bad… you will have to get a multi meter and test the ohms with it off to test if they are good or bad… but I would follow the wire diagram and test where the power is missing at

If you goto uhaul and get a 14486 wiring kit. It is an easy splice in wiring kit. That’s where I get my wiring from. Cheap and your back on the road
