I need a had here guys.

I have a 2003 CRV with around 127k miles on the back and i’m having a problem with the Transmission that it’s driving me crazy.

Picture this: you’re stopped on a red light and when it goes red you, lest say one day, want to push the gas pedal till the end and have a beautiful start. In my V if you do that, you’ll hear and fell a sound just like if the gear is sliding or missing the lock-up that transfer the power. I mean is like if a gear tooth’s are like missing to lock up (como resbalando in Spanish).
I got no codes on the dashboard, and this only happened on fast starts. I change the transmission fluid with genuine HONDA oil at the 126k miles.

      Any advice guys.

Thaks in advance for your comments.

If you don’t have any codes and you just changed the fluid, you might have done all you can. The only other thing is to make sure the fluid is at the proper level. Remember you need to check the level with the engine OFF and not running. If the fluid level is correct then you may be looking at replacing the transmission or having it rebuilt.

Good luck and keep us posted.

I don’t recommend you attempt a rebuild yourself. Automatic transmission rebuilds are not for the DIY. They’re much better in the hands of a specialist. I would recommend you replace with a unit that has already been reconditioned.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Keeping you updated about the transmission problem: as far as I can notice, the sliding came from a very bad right side engine mount, the one that support the engine near the serpentine belt. I read some forums explaining that the damaged mounts could take the transmission out of alignment regarding to the engine connection.

Is this possible? As far as i know i have both mount damaged, the serpentine belt side and the transmission side.

Is it a good idea to change them both?

              Greetings.

It’s certainly worth looking into. If nothing else you’ll address the issue with the mount. Replace the bad mount and then recheck for the issue.

                Keep us posted.
