my buddys mom has a 2003 chevy trailblazer lt the check engine light has been on for 3 days or so i checked it with a scanner its pulling 5 codes u1000, p1345, p0440 (3 times) the one im stuck on is the u1000 code i was reading on line that it has to do with the 4×4 but every thing is so vague and i cant figure it out i was wondering if any one came across this issue before and fixed it or knows what this may be any and all help is extremely appreciated thank you — wildabeast banana:
EDIT: Went out and checked the selectors on the 4×4 everything engages (2hi, A4WD, 4hi) except 4lo, when you select 4lo it just sits their and blinks and eventually stops and goes back to 4hi.

I think you may be having trouble with your body control module are there any other issues with the vehicle
Checked filler cap on nice and tight and I’m thinking its the body control mod. Also thanks for the help -wildabeast
Before you condemn that BCM, try repairing the other codes and then cleaning the codes. The U code might have been set because of low voltage or something like that. It happens. If the code doesn’t come back after you clear it, you win. If it does come back, you can then proceed with further diagnosis.
