Hello,
So it looks like the AC compressor on my 2003 Chevy Malibu is leaking. I was curious if anyone has done this job before and if it’s something I can do myself? It will be about $700 for the replacement and honestly I don’t even think the car is worth that much, haha.
Could someone list the steps on AC replacement?
High level steps…
I know I need to vacuum the system down. I’d need guages and a vacuum pump.
Remove the old ac compressor…what’s the best way to do this?
Install new compressor. What oil do i need to put in the new compressor?
Recharge the system
