I have a 2003 cavalier, and i seen eric’s video on the power window video he did on a 2002 cavalier. I did test to see if power was going to the motor there is 12.4 v and it goes down to 10v when i apply the switch. But at then end eric said the switch may not have enough amps to push the window up, how would i test that switch, (Oh and my problem is that the window goes down fine, but it goes up slowly stops, then you have to wait 5 mins and it goes up another inch etc,) Any one know?

If the window goes up but slow.The switch does work.
it sounds like the motor is shot. unplug the motor.
test to see 12v is present in the up position.If it is
replace the window motor.also inspect the window regulator.No, there’s no rusted wire, and i did test it and it is getting power. Darn looks like i’ll be buying a new motor regulator assembly. Thanks for the posts guys!

will do! I think i’m going to call the parts place tomorrow to see if they aren’t tooo expensive, But it’s not looking to good on ebay there going for around 130 bones
I believe you can buy just the motor and attach it to your regulator assembly if you wish. I paid around $45 for 2 motors delivered to my door from a large on-line distributor. The new motors even come with the new mounting hardware as you will have to drill out the original rivets.
Here is sample of what I mean (I do not subscribe to their techniques, but the idea is there)
Hrmm.. what size were the bolts that came with it for future reference? and i might as well get the whole assembly , i dont want one to poop out after i replace the motor
i bought the motor it was about $50 from napa with the regulator it was close to $200 so i said frig that noise, does any one know what size nuts and bolts i should use when i drill out the rivits?
I was thinking that and if i do get longer bolts than i do need i could always just grind it down to what i need
