Hello! My car is making a clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel slightly to the left. It only happens when I’m sitting at idle as far as I can tell. I’ve taken it to an old teacher of mine and he says I have a noise coming from the upper strut mount on the left side, could this be the issue? Here’s a video I took of the noise.

Um. Not sure I can agree with the strut mount. The strut isn’t DOING anything when you’re sitting still.
I’d look at the rack and pinion, steering knuckle, and all things steering related before I’d go off for the strut mount.

I think you will find the noise is coming from the steering rack. A little is somewhat normal but yours seems excessive. It probably makes less noise with the engine running as fluid under pressure is holding the components tight in the steering rack housing.
It sounds like it’s coming from inside the vehicle. I’d be checking the U joints in the steering column as well as the power steering rack. Additional information can be found here.
