2002 Nissan Maxima 3.5 ground locations?

I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima 6spd manual that I just put the engine back in. I did not tear down the engine or take it out but i am putting it back in for someone else. Anyways, I have got the engine back together and upon trying to start the engine, i turn the key, and nothing happens. the starter does not turn over at all. i am quite sure that the battery is fully charged and the connections to the battery are clean and tight. i am puzzled about two grounds and where they go. The first one is the ground coming directly from the negative battery cable. the second one is shown in this picture. this appears to be a ground, but where does it hook to? I also do not have any headlights, nor power windows or locks. however all the lights come on very bright when switched on, and the horn works. if anyone knows where these two grounds go, please help. thanks.
