      Hi
      I got a 2002 Mont carlo ss. 3.8L engine.
I have recently done a whole lot of work on it.
I have change the alternator, two elbows for heater transferring antifreeze through the belt tentionor, lower and upper intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, water pump, rear brakes and oil pan gasket( what a pain to do)
I am on the last ting to take care of and that is my ABS and traction.
both the ABS and traction light are on. I change the front driver side hub assembly as it was a bit loose to me and though maybe that’s the problem. still the light is on and I don’t know how to go about diagnosing the problem. any help would be great.

You would need to scan the ABS for fault codes as well as supply live data to point us in the right direction and to be able to diagnose the problem.

You would need a bi-directional scan tool that supplies the data from all the sensors and actuators in the system but fault codes would be a start.

If you changed the hub, be sure the new hub has that sprockety-looking “tone ring” on it Maybe you were supposed to tansfer the ring from the old to the new. They never tell you that.

If that wasn’t it, may cars have a way of blinking the ABS light with a code telling you roughly what the problem is. Its often a bad ABS sensor. A little $4 coil of wire that somehow ends up costing you $133.95.

hey every one thanks for all the help
I did the live test and it showed that all the sensors are working correctly.
I looked at the wiring diagram and I saw that the ground seemed to be in a spot perfect to get all rusty. I cleaned it up and her lights went off.
she is all happy and can stop.

                thank you.
