I just replaced the clutch on my 2002 Honda CR-V and after seeing many recommendations about replacing the rear main seal as a part of the job I decided to go ahead and replace it. Before doing this there was no major oil leak but it was clearly weeping a bit of oil. The new clutch works great but there is now a really bad oil leak that I believe is the rear main seal. I now regret having replaced it. I dread taking the entire thing apart again but I don’t see any way around it. I will get another rear main seal but I don’t know what I did wrong the first time so I’m not sure how to do it right this time around. Looking for help/advice.
