EX model 2.3L I4 w/manual transmission I noted when trying to set the cruise control the cruise main switch lights up but when setting the speed nothing happens. This problem started after I replaced the brake lamp switch. The switch a genuine Honda switch. The reason for replacing the brake lamp switch was due to the absents of all brake lights when the brake pedal is pushed in. It looks like the switch is adjustable. I checked the fuse, fuse is good. I also checked the vacuum reservoir and actuator diaphragm both held vacuum. Does any one have any advise? Thanks.

The brake light switch is probably adjusted to close to the pedal. I’m pretty sure Eric did a video on this. Lemme look around for ya.

If the problem started when the switch was replaced then thats
where to start. If the switch is misadjusted it will cancel the cruise.
There should be vacuum lines to the cruise unit. follow them to and
from to make sure no breakage. also does the button and cluster
          light come on?

For system, click Engine. For subsystem, click Speed control.

The forum solved this one before I got the chance to chime in, well done! I was going to suggest adjusting the switch and I’m glad the problem had such an easy fix. Thanks for keeping us up to date and for using the ETCG forum.
