Greetings All; I have a parasitic draw of 200-280 milliamps. I traced it down to fuse 26 on the inside fuse panel. Thinking it was the battery saver relay on the auxiliary relay panel 1, pulled it and the draw drops to 80 milliamps. Tried a new relay and back up to 200-280. The only others on the circuit are the restraints control module, GEM, & instrument cluster. I have yet to disconnect the restraints module, (haven’t found it yet), instrument cluster unplugged didn’t change anything, GEM disconnected dropped it to zero as expected which is why i went for the battery saver relay. If it is the GEM, do I have to get it programed or can I use a salvaged part and just plug and pray?

Thanks to all who help all us diy’rs out there!

IIRC you can use a used one from the same year, but you want to be sure the options match.

Example power windows, power locks, 4X4, ect.

Those GEM modules can corrode on the ground line for the battery saver relay, it keeps the relay closed during switch off situations and that keeps the modules on the bus awake
