I have a 2002 Honda CRV with 94,000 miles. Check engine light is on with codes P300-304. So far I have had the valves adjusted and spark plugs replaced after Honda ran a diagnosis. Check engine light stayed off for 200 miles then reappeared. I checked the new plugs and they have carbon build up on them. Any suggestions of where to look next? Vacuum leak? Clogged EGR? I’ve also heard that a weak battery would cause misfires? Please let me know where I should look next. Thanks!

I don’t see how the leakdown showed a bad injector, unless somehow the return spring for the pintle was so weak that it was pushed open by the compressed air. That’s the first I’ve ever heard of that. Are they sure it’s not just the o-ring on the injector?
Finally got my car back. It is running perfectly! Misfires are gone, rough idle is gone, and it seems quicker on top of it all. I guess I got one of the few Hondas with a fuel delivery problem. At least it only needed one injector and not all 4.

Yea thanks for posting the fix however I don’t see how there is any way they could have diagnosed a bad injector with a leak down test as the injectors are not even active during that time. The only thing I can figure is that we are having a communication issue here and that what they were really doing was a fuel pressure leak down test and not a leak down test of the engine. No matter the fact that it’s fixed and you posted it is good enough, thanks for using the ETCG forum.
