Hello
I have a 2002 sebring with a worn timing belt. I have been doing a little research before starting the job. I have seen that a special tool may be required to do this job just wondering if anyone can confirm that?
The crank bolt comes out with an impact wrench. How do i release tension on the timing belt?
Any pointers that can help this go smoothly would be appreciated.

There is a particular puller set you need to remove the harmonic balancer. It’s specific to Chrysler and some GM cars & trucks. The set I own is here: http://www.matcotools.com/catalog/product/MST6668/BALANCER-PULLER-KIT/
But, Auto Zone has one listed for $75 which should be much more friendly to your wallet.
