Last week, my father bought a 2002 Buick Century with 91,000 miles. It has the 3.1L SFI V6. Today, the ABS light came on. We have a 30-day warranty from the dealer, so we’re going to get them to find out the problem and fix it, but I wanted to know if anyone knows the problem already? Also, any other pattern failures or quirky things to watch out for with this car? I’m going to be responsible for the maintenance, for the most part, after the warranty expires.

I’ve seen alot of intake gaskets go on them, as well as impala’s, but with your problem i didn’t see much or any problem with the abs systems.

Took it in today, and naturally as soon as the guy got in the car, the light went away… and came back on as soon as we were about a mile down the road. He told us though that “the sensor probably got some dust on it” and that the light may come and go but that the ABS will continue to work.

He’s going to get the code pulled tomorrow. I’ll keep you updated.
