New Thermostat, new Heater Core (10 hours to change). Car heats up fine to 195-210 degrees. Does not overheat. Have to leave blower setting on Low to get any heat. If I change setting to High, heat goes from hot to very quickly, luke warm heat.

    What is the deal?

Are the heater core hoses hot? Sounds like air in the system still.
You could try bleeding the system. Also make sure your coolant is full.
If you rev the car does the heat come back and then go? if so air is trapped.

I used the “Lisle Spill-Free Coolant Funnel Kit” to completely make sure no air was in the system. I’ll try reving the engine up when I get home.

      Thanks

“If you rev the car does the heat come back and then go? if so air is trapped.”

Do you mean while sitting at idle and the vent is blowing cold/warm air, you rev the engine and the vent gets hotter? Then back to idle the vent gets colder/warm air?

Are you saying that I have air in the system?

Speaking of the spill free funnel (slightly related topic) …

I have the spill free funnel (a newer one), and I can’t get it to fit well onto the chrysler 2.4L (in the stratus/sebering/pt cruser). The cap part fits, but it seems none of the necks in the kit are thick enough to prevent leaks (if that makes any sense).

I get what your saying. You may need to put a pan under the radiator.
I’m gonna throw this out there but did the new core come with caps?
can you account for the caps? Have you tried burping and then let the
car sit with the cap off?
