2001 Odyssey Fuel Gauge

My Ody set for a year on an inclined driveway due to the transmission slipping badly and not having money to fix it. I would crank it up every few weeks or so and drive it a tad up the street and back. Now that its fixed and back on the road, the fuel gauge is only reading half full after a fill-up. Any help in diagnosing this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My best guess would be that the sending unit is seized or the float is saturated with fuel.
