Hello to all, i have been trying to help my uncle with a problem (over the phone)but not having much luck so i came to the best place i can think of for help.
the original problem when he got the car was a blow head gasket, head was sent out to be checked and gasket was replaced. First thing that got me confused is the camshaft timing, here’s why, after doing some research on the timing i found 2 versions of timing for this car :ohmy: , one with the sprocket timing marks facing each other and one with the marks half a teeth off from one another :huh: .
The problem he is having after changing spark plugs and general tuneup is rough idle and shuts off sometimes when driving and come to a stop sign, when you rev the car he says it sounds like its starved of gas, but he says the car has good power.
Extra note: he had checked for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner. Oh he had set the timing in both configuration with the same outcome.
No error codes yet :angry:
engine mounts are good
my question has anyone had the privilege 😆 to have a problem like this?
