couple issues i need help with….

      1) i changed the valve cover gaskets and when i started the car afterwards it started right up and ran fine for a few minutes. i then turned the car off to clean up my tools. couple minutes later started it again and it started fine then instantly stalled out. we adjusted the idle some and got it o idle around 800 rpm. i then drove to the parts store and when i put it in park the idle was at around 1200 rpm. i then drove home about 40 minutes got in the drive way put it in park and the idle was around 900. still seems to be fluctuating. also i now seems to idle a little low when im in drive and holding the brakes. around 600. any ideas?

      2) drivers side power window does not work, and i dont hear the motor trying to work. the switch on the drivers side for the passenger door does work.

      3) when im applying light acceleration to maintain a speed of around 35mph i start to feel a slight jerking, if i give it more throttle it goes away?

any and all suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated

according to this procedure a scan tool is needed for setting base idle.
As for the power window issue this should show the troubleshooting technique.
If you don’t have a power probe you can use 12v from the battery and use jumpers.

ahhh this makes sense on the idle issue, so do you mean a diagnostic scan tool that hooks up under the dash?

            Yes, to OBD2 port.
But if you did NOT have idle issue BEFORE repair and have it NOW, you simply have air leak somewhere. Something is not tight or connected right.
Btw, you’d have been much better off splitting your inquiry into 3 different posts, each addressed to a particular issue. Then it’s much easier to have dedicated responses.
I am afraid, College Man is referring to rather a fancy scantool that actually logs into your ECM and has s/w appropriate to adjust idle. Not your regular Autozone thing. That’s just a basic code reader.
