New to the group, your video help has been great.

Have a 2001 CRV LX with Left Front Camber set at -1.4 degrees (best possible adjustment during alignment) front right Camber is at -0.3 degrees. All adjustments are within spec except Left Front Camber. CRV has survived two front end hits, one side (original owner) one front (granddaughter) both times vehicle straightened on rack.

Shop recommends adjustable upper control arm which I can’t find on the internet. Need a suggestion to proceed with a fix.

      Possible???

      1) Replace with stock upper control arm. Align & Check

      2) If adjustment not fixed install an adjustable tie rod end. Align & Check.

Note: alignment is under warranty so multiple alignments are permitted within 12 months @ N/C.

one option could be to shim the upper control arm to bring it out to match the camber of the other side.

Unless I am mistaken the upper control arm on a Honda CRV has no location for a shim.

I forgot to add the settings from the alignment which shows the front left not changing following the work.

I suspect the subframe is bent due to accidents. The only real fix would be to get it on a frame rack and check to see how far out it is and if it can be fixed. You can mess with control arms all day long but that would only be a band aid if the real issue is the subframe alignment.

Thanks, the car was just released off the rack after the last accident. Will take a wait and see approach. The tires are rotated every 5K and it is too early to see if the -1 degree will be of much impact. Appreciate the input.

Honestly collision damaged vehicles are rarely right after they are repaired and for that reason I often advise people to avoid them when purchasing a used vehicle. Keep us posted.
