Were those test completed on the vehicle or did you take the alternator and the battery to an auto parts store?_x000D_

If this was an AutoZone special free diagnostic, just throw the results away. A simple DMM will provide more acurate results than those joke machines._x000D_

As I am going out-of-town this week, I didn’t want to chance it and just change out the batter, the alternator looked pretty crusty when I pulled it out._x000D_

So I swapped out the battery, and the alternator, now the thing is running like a champ.

                    It was an in-vehicle test.

the bad battery was probably over working the alternator. if you raise the_x000D_
idle to 2000-2500 rpm the battery voltage should be 14v.keep us posted.

Glad you got it sorted out but next time recheck the charging system AFTER you put the new battery in I think you would have been fine with that also Honda alternators are better than anything found in the aftermarket so I would have done my best to keep

Thanks Eric, I had to weigh that I had 1 day to fix this, so I tossed the extra 160 at it to get a beck/arnley reman.

try wiggling the key in the ignition to see if the car shuts off. if it_x000D_
does then you would need to replace the electrical portion of the switch._x000D_
it sounds like the car was in limp mode.

As I was out-of-town, they sent it to their local mechanic to have it looked at as she needed it towed somewhere._x000D_

It appears to be the Top Dead Center Sensor aka the Crankshaft Position Sensor.
