I just got a Kat’s block heater for my Civic. It is the type that screws into the drain plug bolt next to the oil filter. I almost did the install, but after looking at the manual I decided to wait till I got the special funnel for the coolant. My question is if anyone has put one in, or just general thoughts on changing out coolant (is type II honda coolant worth the money?) Thanks for any help

Its less flushing you would have to do by using what was there.

If you don’t remove the radiator cap and swap it quick you won’t loose that much coolant. It just screws into the plug location like you describe. It’s not that difficult. As for the coolant, I think that uses the green. You can always check to overflow to see what you have.
