New problem 1 week after replacing the belt tensioner. The car will not start. Good battery, plenty of cranking amps, the altenator is charging and it sounds like the starter solenoid is engaging. I haven’t checked the shift position switch yet. Is there something I’m missing?

Is this a crank no start prob or a no crank no start prob ? if a crank but no start prob and the timing belt tensioner was recently replaced you may have jumped a couple teeth and put the car too far out of time to start.

Its a no crank, no start problem, but i do hear the starter solenoid click.

Glad you found the issue. I made this video to address that very problem should you run into it again in the future.
