4 Cyl. Was not running well (needs iacv) …stalled at a stop sign now wont start. Has spark …did not do a fuel pressure check but i can smell fuel when i was doing a compression check….both dry and wet check = 30psi all 4 cyl??? humm. I am in the process of checking valve timing but the car has a pretty new timing belt and water pump (maybe a 1000 miles) Is there a vid. for setting valve timing? Also….strange that all 4 cylinders are the same psi?? i have a old snapon compression gauge set….is it possible that is not working properly?

30 psi is not enough compression to start the vehicle.
        check your timing marks.

It sounds like your engine is flooded. Try holding the gas pedal to the floor when you crank it over to help clear the flood. As long as you depress the gas pedal past 80% it should go into clear flood mode and turn off the fuel injectors so it won’t be adding any more gas to the engine while you crank. You might also need to remove the spark plugs to dry them out or clean them off.

I suppose it’s also possible that you’re out of time. If that’s the case then it may cause the low compression. Probably not a bad idea to check the mechanical timing of the engine too if the clear flood doesn’t work.
