Hey. Im new to this site and I’m just looking for some quick tips on how to change my passenger side right rear axle seal/bearing. I have all the tools I need but I’m looking for some help on the inside of the rear end. How do you get to the c clips to remove them? A friend of mine told me theres a bolt you need to remove to get to them but I’m not sure what he’s talking about. Any help you guys can give me would be great!!! Thanks for your time!!!

I don’t think Ford uses ‘c’ clips on that one. I think the axles are actually bolted to the flange. If the hub has holes in it then this is likely the case. The holes are used to put a socket through to undo the bolts. This video can help you with the axle bearing. BTW you’ll likely need to replace that as well because you’ll need to remove it in order to get to the seal.
