 The blower will not work when the dial is set to 5 (highest setting). About 6 months ago, it would only work on 5, when that quit working I replaced the blower motor, and then the blower motor resistor. 1-4 work now, but not 5. I even tried 2 new resistors. Someone suggested it could be the switch???
 Water leaks into the passenger side from the bottom of the windshield when it rains fairly hard or a go through a car wash.

 Lastly for now, and not really a big deal it is just irritating: Message Center constantly displays: Service Ride Control, unless it is real cold out, then it doesn’t. I believe this has the air shocks on the rear so it could be them or the pump? What’s the best way to check? If Eric was planning on visiting in Pgh…

Did 5 still work right after you replaced the resistor? If not, check for a loose connection at the resistor pack. On the highest setting there is a lot of current going through the switch. It is common that they melt. A visual inspection of the switch should confirm. You can check the resistor pack with an ohmmeter, but it is probably the switch if the wiring is good.

You will have to replace the glass (or have it removed for re-sealing) to permanently solve the problem. Trying to seal the leak with silicone or other adhesive is a band-aid measure and is not the correct repair.

The best way to check is to have the codes read. This message sets a code in the computer. A very common one is C0580. The cause of C0580 is poor clearance between the auxiliary A/C evaporator hose and the right front shock absorber damper solenoid connector causing it to be damaged through contact with the hose. However, you need to get your code read in order to point you in the correct direction of a diagnosis, as you may not have this particular problem.

          Hello 🙂

Here you have wiring diagram for youre blower. So you could check signal from switch too relay terminal F on resistor assembly, or if you have Power on terminal G from FRT HVAC fuse.

Thank you for the quick reply. The water doesn’t leak in from the top of the windshield, is seems to be some where below the wiper area. I’m not sure if anyone else came across cracked or broken plastics??

Yes, I understood that part. There are only two ways water can enter in that location. 1) windshield leaking, 2) fresh air intake for A/C. Do you know if a new windshield has ever been installed? There are two situations. The seal has failed and water is running in at the bottom of the glass, or there is a missing screw in the plastic cowling under the windshield and the hole is right over the fresh air intake. It may be worth checking out. On the passenger side remove the outer trim beneath the wiper. Under that is another screw that is right over the fresh air duct see if it is missing or loose. Other than that you may need to do the ‘garden hose test’ to find how the water is getting in through the intake duct.
