alright. i really hope someone can give me some advice here. and quick! i am working on a friends car. 01 malibu 3.1 (3100) they have a leaking intake gasket (what else is new right) well i was doing just fine until i got to the fuel rail and injectors. i unhooked the fuel lines, depreserized the system… but then i wasnt sure how to get the rails and injectors out. i have zero experience with fuel injectors. first time doing a job like this. so i see these little tabs that hold the injectors to the rails. i unhook all of them. then i get the rails pried free. it was then i realized i made a big mistake. i should have left the injectors attached to the rails! now i have no idea how to get the injectors out one by one, and especially without breaking the damn things. they are $100 A PIECE! but now i cannot get the injectors clips, to hook back on to the rails, to start all over again. i am assuming i will need new clips, but i have no idea where to get them. delearship maybe? is there a way to reattach these clips to the rails, and reuse them? ALSO, i have no idea how to unhook the injectors from the wire connections. the connectors are very confusing. and again. I DONT WANT TO BREAK ANYTHING. this is a friends car, who is flat broke, trying to save money to move. and myself i am even more broke and cannot afford to buy all these parts if i were to break them. i really need some help here guys. badly. any advice here is so much appreciated. i will be indebted to you forever!!!! pictures would be nice. if thats possible somehow… ; )
