i replaced the tps yesterday and it didn’t solve the problem. i put it into neutral and revved it up a little bit to 1200rpms and after about 1-2 seconds the engine lost power down to under 1000rpm and i didn’t move the pedal. when I’m driving at a constant speed it does that also but i have about a 1-2 inch play before overdrive kicks in.

How about the transmission range sensor?

Transmission seals seal better when they warm up sometimes. The transmission fluid also flows better when it warms up. That being said, to me it sounds like an internal transmission issue, perhaps with a seal somewhere. The only way to fix it will likely be to rebuild or replace the transmission.

          Keep us posted.
