So my Lincoln LS doesn’t crank (manual trans car, yes I’m pressing in the clutch when turning the key) . Today I wanted to updated the cluster in my LS to LED’s. So I took parts of the dash off to remove the cluster. To remove one of the cluster bolts I had to remove the the stater switch and push it to the side. Well I removed the bolt and got the cluster loose but I couldn’t get it out. It was getting dark so I put everything back. However when I went to start my car it wouldn’t start. The key turns but no crank and the steering wheel doesn’t release. I didn’t unplug anything so not sure why it’s not starting. I tried jumping it see if maybe the battery is the issue but no. I’ve connected a scanner but no codes. When I turn the key I can hear the relays clicking. Any help would be appreciated.

Is the anti theft light flashing? Is the clutch interlock switch making contact when the clutch
contacts it? Have you checked fuses?

I think Eric hit the nail on the head asking about the theft light. LS PATS is stored in the ICM. Check the connectors on the back to make sure they’re all plugged in. In a previous life I was a Lincoln tech and even when they seem plugged in, they can be slightly out on one side or the other.
