I can’t stress enough how important it is to lubricate slide pins with silicone paste only.

I’ve never had issue with silicone paste however I’ve seen plenty of times where using other lubricants didn’t work out.

I don not have silicon grease, but I have some copper grease. Would it be OK?

            Thank you.

No it would not, it will dry up and cause the pins to seize. You may be able to find a silicone based caliper grease at your local auto parts store.

Thank you very much, Eric. To be honest I am having a hard time trying to find it… It is quite amazing, but none of the stores I have been have it.
