The car is a 2000 or X-Reg for others in the UK, and the window feels like it’s fallen of its rails. Eric did a video on a SAAB about the clips that go on the mechanism and into the bottom of the window?

Could this be the fault, the window has never completely fallen out but never goes up properly, and often pushes out side of the window frame. I’ll try and get some pictures to explain.

If you agree could someone tell me the part number? Honda in the UK are useless when it comes to finding out parts. Especially for the HR-V considering how rare they are over here.

BTW its a 3 Door Model.

you will need to remove the door panel to do a visual
inspection of the window regulator and associated parts.

It’s likely to be the motor/regulator assembly. This is a common problem on Honda’s. You can actually use the same procedure in the video you mentioned to replace it. I don’t know the part numbers however. You’ll have to check with your parts person for that. Keep us posted.

            Thanks Eric!

I need to get it fixed by sunday ideally. I’m the person on FB who passed the level 1 mechanics course.

Me and Dad are doing a 200 mile round trip, London to Birmingham for the first Mini Show of the year, Collecting a new front end and a pretty much new suspension set up.

I’ve sort of bodged it for now, by holding it up and pulling the switch up which has pushed it into the window seals properly, but we can’t open the window! In case it falls out at 70mph 😉

I’ll phone Honda UK tomorrow and see what they say, the HR-V is ridiculously un-popular in the UK and most bought a CR-V so I don’t know if they’ll have them still?

You’ll need to replace the motor/regular assembly in order to get it to work again. Keep us posted.

I popped of the door card and had a look. Well and Truly beeped.

I’ve ordered a new one from a Local Honda Breakers….

Been focusing on the Mini and its mass of frayed wiring.

They aren’t that difficult to replace. Keep us posted on your progress.
